Thomas McKinnon, MD-retired

Dr. McKinnon is a board certified, fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology and “no stitch cataract surgery”.  He has been in private practice since l972.  He is a life member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, acknowledged for his long-standing allegiance to the Academy.  He was named to nationally recognized best doctors in America list by the Birmingham Magazine in 2002. 

Dr. McKinnon has participated in several charitable eye missions to prevent blindness in multiple countries, such as Venezuela, Bolivia and Peru, to name a few.  Dr. McKinnon performs his surgery at Brookwood Medical Center.
